Due-diligence worksheet

One row per listing, rows to check first. Columns follow what EUDR asks of each role, plus the two fields Amazon's own EUDR template asks for.

  • Status, commodity, HS heading, dates and the reason
  • Your role: operator (you import) or trader
  • Supplier name, address, e-mail, website
  • DDS reference and verification number
  • Country of production, geolocation on file
  • Exemption reason, reviewer, date, notes

12-month pass

. Unlimited files, full worksheet export and the AI check for 12 months. One payment, no subscription.

How it decides

Amazon listings carry no customs code, so the scanner reads what the listing says: the product, its material, and words that rule it out (a wood-look plastic chair, a coffee mug, a leather wallet).

  • Rules run offline in your browser in 8 languages: German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, English.
  • AI check (with the pass) sends only the product titles to a language model and combines both answers. A listing is flagged if either finds it may be in scope.
  • Check means the listing does not state the decisive fact, for example a wardrobe with no material given. Most of these are chipboard, which counts as wood.

What it gets wrong

We measured it on 200 listing titles it had never seen, in 8 languages:

Rules only
caught 67 % of in-scope titles
Rules + AI
caught 97 % of in-scope titles; flagged 26 % of out-of-scope titles for checking

The test titles were labelled against the legal text by an AI, not by a customs expert. Treat every row as a starting point, not a classification.

What is in scope

Wood
Wooden and MDF/chipboard furniture, wooden articles, flooring, firewood, charcoal, pallets, paper and cardboard products. Not bamboo, rattan or cork.
Cocoa

Rubber
New tyres, inner tubes, natural-latex gloves. Not mats, bands or synthetic rubber.
Soya, palm
Soybeans, soy flour and oil; palm oil and derivatives. Bar soap from 30 Dec 2027.
Cattle

Who has to do what

  • You import, or sell into the EU from outside it: you are the operator. Due diligence and a due diligence statement (DDS) in the EU Information System before the goods are placed on the market.
  • You buy from a supplier in the EU: you are a trader. No DDS, but keep supplier and customer details, and your supplier's DDS reference if it is the importer, for 5 years.
  • Amazon has asked Invoice-by-Amazon sellers for a DDS reference per ASIN. The worksheet has those columns.
